Who Asks This Question?...This question is about as direct as you can get when it comes to addressing religious beliefs. It is a question that ALL must consider. It does not care about what church you go to or what denomination you belong to. It cares little about "good deeds" or the sacrifices made to achieve them. It will not ignore the one who says, "I do not believe in God or the hereafter" or the one who serves false gods. Who Asks This Question?... Everyone must ask themselves this question. Many ask and then do not really want to know the truth because the truth holds them accountable to God who IS love, but also holy, righteous and a just God. The choices of where you will spend eternity are limited to these: Heaven or Hell....ooh no, we don't want to say that. Aside from the fact that these are literal places, the most important difference is: your life spent in the very presence of God FOREVER...or your "life" spent FOREVER conscious of the fact that you missed God and now are separated from Him and the goodness He so anxiously wanted to show you. It's your decision to serve God or not, but know this... There is a loving Father in heaven waiting to wrap his arms around you and tell you, "Come in out of the cold, lost and hungry one. Warm yourself by the fire of my Spirit. I have loved you since before you were born and desire to show you my goodness beyond what you can imagine. If you will look to me, there is no good thing I will withhold from you. You are the apple of my eye. When anything harmful comes near, I will place you under my wing. I gave my only Son that you could come to a right relationship with me. If you will believe and do the things I say in my Word, I will draw close to you. You will know me not just for what I do, but you will know my character as well. Oh come just as you are. Don't wait until you are "good" enough. I already know the dark and shaded parts of your heart. I still wait for you to come and let me shine in those places...casting out the darkness. My Son Jesus, gave his life so you could have LIFE and have it more abundantly." Don't count on your own wisdom or men's philosophies of life. It clouds the truth and the issue at hand... The "Simple Question"... Scripture references for this page: Romans 3:23 |
