My Personal TestimonySometimes you would wonder how I end up being saved through the Lord Jesus Christ in my heart? Here is a good time to know about me. First of all, I am indebted to the Lord Jesus Christ to help me find the truth in which I am really a sinner in the first place, and gave me the opportunity to receive the eternal life gift. That's truly a blessing. Believe it or not that my story may be a very simple one unlike other born-again Christians' testimonies. I was very young along with my kid brother whom my parents had a burden to have us raised as "good boys" with the understanding of the moral values thus led them to seek a right church to teach us how to be "good boys". The ironic part about my parents' idea was due to the fact that my father was an impractical Catholic and my mother was a Lutheran. Based on my parent's various religious upbringings, my parent chose to seek a different religion instead of Catholic or Lutheran. To my understanding, they were actually seeking the truth about Jesus Christ. Once they found a good church that taught about the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ. I was witnessed by my mother in our house basement on a warm spring day in a small town of West Monroe, NY when I was 8 years old. It took me a few minutes to understand the plan of salvation because I was afraid to go to Hell with the old devil. In fact, my mother did a pretty good job in scaring me off, by mentioning the words, "devil" and "hell". So I chose to accept Jesus Christ as my Savior because His blood did shed for me and saved me from Hell on the Calvary. I have no doubt that I will go to Heaven with Him. Concerning the timing of my salvation, I was not a time-setter or emphasized by my parents to remember the day of my salvation. But importantly, I know in my heart that I was saved by the Lord Jesus Christ that day which mattered to me the most. If not for my parents' desire to seek the truth about Jesus Christ, I don't know how my life would have turned out as of today? perhaps I could have became a Catholic priest or a rabid Syracuse Orangemen sports announcer, gambler, or fan? Once again, I am thankful to the Lord Jesus Christ that I have received the free gift of salvation, especially through my beloved parents! Thank you for reading my testimony.
