(These statistics were gleaned from trustworthy Christian sources on the internet) Pornography addiction is not a "disease" or a "weakness" but a heart problem. Jesus said, "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart" (Matthew 5:28). Jesus also said, "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications..." (Mark 7:21). To have victory over the sin of pornography, one must have an internal transformation--a complete, radical, Holy Spirit-powered change of the heart. How is such a change possible? The key is the Word of God! Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." You need a "heart surgery," with the Holy Spirit as your Surgeon, and with the word of God the sharp, glistening scalpel in His hand. Psalm 119:11 says, "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." Victory over pornography is won as you daily grasp and allow God to apply "...the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" (Ephesians 6:17)!
