Signing Patches Quilt Ministry

"Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;"

1 Thessalonians 1:3

Our purpose for this quilt ministry is to express Jesus' love in a tangible way through the gift of a quilt and to provide a place for women to come together to work and pray for the good of others. We meet ten times each year to make simple quilts to give to the missionaries' and pastors' wives. Quilts will also be used as an outreach ministry as well.

It is our desire is that Signing Patches function as a ministry, not as a quilting group. Quilts are merely the means we use to touch other lives with Jesus' love. In fact, a few of our current quilters are not members of this church. You do not need to know how to sew! We do welcome ladies who can iron, fold, or tie a knot on a quilt or who desire to keep company with us during our ministry time.

"SIGNING PATCHES QUILT MINISTRY"

Open to all HVBDC Members or Non Member Ladies who loves to quilt

A sewing machine in good working order, basic sewing supplies and neutral thread are necessary but quilting experience is not. We have many members who are willing to teach you the basics of quilting. Fabric and batting supplies are provided, or you may bring your own.

We have quilt ministry picture on a new web page from Signing Patches Quilt Show on Saturday, September 11, 2010.
